Colour Combo Challenge

It's that time again...can't believe how the days seem to be flying by. It's my turn to host the challenge over at In Love With Stamping, and today's colours are:-

GABLE GREEN
CHOCOLATE CHIP
BARELY BANANA
LOVELY LILAC

Here is my card, but I am afraid the photo is not that good. It has been raining here all day, so I wasn't able to get good natural light. This photo has been taken with a daylight bulb, but I think it has still changed the colours....

The stamp used is Organic Grace, which is a Level 1 Hostess set. This means if you hold a Stampin' Up! workshop, you can earn this stamp set for Free. (Contact me for more details)

Thanks for stopping by.

Challenge Card ITC10

I love taking part with some of the challenges over at In Love With Stamping. I have to admit to being a little behind in doing these though. Since Christmas, time seems to fly by, and I am finding everyday life preventing me from crafting. But I have managed to do the Inspiration Challenge set by Kate two weeks ago! The theme was LOVE and here is my creation.

I have used the SAB set Polka Dot Punches. I inked the heart stamp with Versamark stamped onto Real Red card three times then embossed with white embossing powder. Each heart was then cut out. The panel is Real Red card stock run through the cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and edged with Whisper White card with a scalloped edge.

The hearts where then placed onto the panel with Dimensionals and the white ribbon attached to the middle heart. Not sure the photo shows it well, but the word LOVE has been stamped at the bottom of the card using the stamp set Wonderful Words.

New Blog Award

My lovely newest member of my Stampin' Up! team has awarded me this wonderful Butterfly award. Thank you Alex, Alex has only just started bloging, but already has a fantastic blog and I know it will get better and better. Pop on over and have a look, http://hautocraft.blogspot.com/
The wonderful Jo over at http://blog.scrapbookparty.co.uk/ also awarded the Butterfly award. Thank you hun.

The idea of this award is to pass it along to 10 others, as follows:
  1. Post the award logo on your blog
  2. Add the link to the person who nominated you
  3. Nominate 10 other blogs and post their links as well
  4. Let those people know that they received the award
So now I have to nominate 10 blogs for you all to visit. Hmm, this is going to be so difficult, I have so many blogs in my Google reader, and I love every single one of them, so it is going to be so difficult to choose 10. So I am going to opt out of choosing and pass this award onto everyone who takes the time to create and update crafting blogs, that keep me and so many others busy hopping from one to another gathering inspiration and Ideas. :0)

Colour Combo Challenge

Well it's that time again. My turn to post the colour combo challenge over at In Love With Stamping. Since Christmas I have been having trouble getting back into the crafting mood. My Mojo hasn't returned from it's holiday, so I turned to the wonderful Stampin' Up! designer papers to help me with the colours for this challenge. This weeks colours are GREEN GALORE, TEMPTING TURQUOISE, APRICOT APPEAL & GABLE GREEN and my inspiration came from the Rainbow Sherbet Designer Papers!

Here is the sample I made for the challenge...believe it or not this card took me nearly all yesterday morning to make!! Just couldn't decide what colours to put where.

As the inspiration came from the Rainbow Sherbet papers, I decided to use some on my card along with the balloon stamp from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set.

Ohh Dear...

I am only managing to post about once a week at the moment. I just don't know where the time goes. This card was made on Sunday, but the weather has been so grey here I have only managed to take a photograph of it today.

I coloured the image in on Friday Night, while waiting for my son. He had County Cricket training and we have to travel about 25 miles to get to it, so it's too far to go home again. I do this often while waiting around for him. I take with me my Aqua painters, Watercolour Wonder crayons and a load of stamped images and I colour to my hearts content. Trouble is I have to find time to make them up into cards. LOL

This one is using the Designer papers Spiced Cider onto Chocolate Chip card stock. I love these colours at the moment. The leaves stamp is from the hostess set A Little Bit of Happiness.
I did make another little card, but can not share that with you just yet...

Thanks for looking

Sorry....

Here it is, already the 6th January and no post. Where does the time go? The kids went back to school today, so I will now get some routine back. Ohh how I missed my routine over the Christmas break.
I have been playing with one of the free sets on offer with the Sale-A-Bration promotion. This one is called Polka Dot Punches and I made a little set of 3x3 cards.

It has been so cold out in my log cabin, I thought I would also challenge myself to use limited supplies, so I picked out three colours of card stock, matching ink, some brads and the stamps and headed back inside in the warm to stamp....
Colours are Elegant Eggplant, Pale Plum & Perfect Plum.
Details on how you could get this great little stamp set FREE are here.

Back soon with more to share....

Happy New Year

'Happy New Year' to all. I want to take this opportunity to thank all you great people who take the time to stop by and especially those that take the time to leave me great comments. It is my aim in 2009 to keep my blog updated a little better than I have been so please keep stopping by.

Yes like many others I have been reflecting over the last 12 months and thinking about changes to make over the next 12. I have a list as long as my arm, and this is one problem I have, the list is long, far too many to achieve, hence so many things stay the same. But, I have found someone who is going to help me this year. Bekka over at Feeling Crafty is doing an online course called Create Your Dreams

The course is all about achieving your New years resolutions/goals etc and I am really excited about starting this journey during 2009. Pop over to Bekka and read all about it she may be able to help you Create your Dreams.....
