Look what I'v done.........

Most of the weekend has been spent with DS and his Bowls. Yesterday we spent most of the day at the World Bowls being held at Potters holiday park, Hopton. This is an annual event held here, and this year the Junior Beccles Indoor Bowls Club was invited to demonstrate bowl to people as they arrived for the main event. As you can imagine the kids thought this was great, paying at the same place that all the Pro's would be playing. After their demo, they where invited to stay and watch. We stayed for the afternoon session and saw the 3rd round game between Mervyn King (a local Norfolk bowler) and Kelvin Kerkow from Australia. Wow, what a game it was. Mervin won, but it went to a tie break. DS was in awe of them all.

This morning was taken up with Bowls again. This was a return match, against another local Junior Bowls club at Browston. It was a close match, but Browston won by 6.

All this going on means no crafting again this weekend :-( but I have been fiddling with Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 and created a watermark. I saw a tutorial here http://www.stampinkub.com/tutorials/tips/photo_4.html and thought I would have a go at creating one. Now believe me, when it comes to using Adobe PE4, my mind seems to turn to mush.........I get in a muddle with the simplest things LOL, but this is quite easy. I don't pretend it was a five minute job ......in fact it took most of the evening..........but I am quite pleased with the result. I have tried it out on a card I made a few days ago, using the Sugar Nellie stamps from http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/index.php. Just love these stamps. Off now to colour some more images in ready to make into cards.

Where does the time go

I was so looking forward to spending some time crafting on Sunday, but ended up spending day in bed feeling pretty bad. Bad stomach cramps, and then all my joints aching. Slept on and off most of the day. Couldn't go to work on Monday either, but still not well enough to craft.

Finding it a real struggle to find any spare time at the moment. I made a start on the job hunting and have completed two applications for admin roles at two schools near by. But boy do these application forms take time to complete! No interviews yet but closing date for one was yesterday and the second hasn't closed yet, so early days.

So, I will share a card I made about a week ago! It is using one of the Magnolia stamps. I decided to cut the image out and place on the card, don't know the papers used I am afraid as they where scraps from the scrap box, you know, the one we all have, because we can't throw anything away LOL. I am quite happy with the way it turned out and will certainly use stamp in this way again.

Bye for now.

More Cards....

Waiting for a parcel for DH to be delivered, so have been making more cards today. DS has been happy playing all the new PS2 & Wii games he got for Christmas so has been quite content and let me play. Have been using my Sugar Nellies again. I love these stamps. The pink card is using my new Cuttlebug and embossing with the textile folder and using the nestabilities again. I love these dies, worth every penny. The other card is using paper from the DCWV Nana's Kids range. The paper has glittery little stars on it which I thought was appropiate to the stamp. The 'Make a Wish' and the cup cake on the pink card are Stidio G clear stamps. Had better go and clear up the mess I have made and get on with making a meal for tonight....

Happy day crafting

I had to work between xmas and new year, but I am on holiday now until Monday. Had a great day just crafting and playing with my new Cuttlebug and Nestabilities and my Sugar Nellie stamps. Funky Kits sent out my Nellies before Xmas, Thanks Girls, and I stamped a few images over xmas, but didn't get around to colouring them. Today I have been playing and created these cards. Just love these stamps. They stamp up so crisp and clear. Now off to do some more colouring ready to make more cards tomorrow.............

HAPPY NEW YEAR.........

Happy New year everyone. Had to work New Years eve, then went around friends to see the new year in. Had great time, playing cards and the board game Destination. Kids love this game and it keeps them occupied for ages. Today I have taken the Xmas decorations down. Hubby is back at work tomorrow, so I thought it best to do it today so he could get all the boxes back up in the loft, this afternoon I created a card using one of the Sugar Nellie stamps I bought before Xmas. By the time it was finished it was too dark to photograph, so will post it tomorrow. Now going to browse through some of the blogs I love visiting to see what everyone has been up to....
