ILWS Colour Combo Challenge 24

Well it's that time again....my turn to host the Colour Combo Challenge over at In Love With Stamping....The challenge colours this time are:-


Elegant Eggplant
Old Olive
Taken With Teal

I really enjoyed using these colours, they just seemed to jell together. Here is my sample card.





The stamp set used is Baroque Motifs, stamped in Old Olive onto Very Vanilla, with the flower stamp stamped in Elegant Eggplant. Sentiment is from the Cheers and Wishes stamped in Elegant Eggplant. The Very Vanilla is layered onto Taken with Teal card then Very Vanilla. The base card is Old Olive card with a layer of Elegant Eggplant on the left. Elegant Eggplant grossgrain ribbon has been tied around the spine of the card to finish and small pearls on top of the flowers to finish it off.

Colour Challenge 23

Today is my turn to post the Colour Combo Challenge over at In Love With Stamping. The challenge colours are:-

Basic Grey
Ballet Blue
Certainly Celery

These colours where chosen as some of the UK demo's where saying on a thread that they where finding it hard to incorporate Grey card stock into their creations. So I had a light bulb moment and decided grey had to be one of the colours in this weeks challenge. LOL

Here is my card, a very simple design, but I have to say I am very pleased with how it turned out.

The base card is Certainly Celery, with a panel of Basic Grey, stamped with the Canvas background stamp in Basic Grey ink. The butterfly from the Garden Whimsy set is stamped onto Whisper White card in Ballet Blue ink, then layered onto Certainly Celery, Basic Grey then Ballet Blue card. The sentiment is stamped in Basic Grey and from the Thank You Kindly stamp set.

Now I have just looked out of the window and it's snowing here. We have missed most of the snow that has hit the country this past week or so. My son is hoping school will be closed tomorrow! I bet he is going to be disappointed....

Colour Combo Challenge

Well it's that time again. My turn to post the colour combo challenge over at In Love With Stamping. Since Christmas I have been having trouble getting back into the crafting mood. My Mojo hasn't returned from it's holiday, so I turned to the wonderful Stampin' Up! designer papers to help me with the colours for this challenge. This weeks colours are GREEN GALORE, TEMPTING TURQUOISE, APRICOT APPEAL & GABLE GREEN and my inspiration came from the Rainbow Sherbet Designer Papers!

Here is the sample I made for the challenge...believe it or not this card took me nearly all yesterday morning to make!! Just couldn't decide what colours to put where.

As the inspiration came from the Rainbow Sherbet papers, I decided to use some on my card along with the balloon stamp from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set.
