Life gets in the way..

Sorry to my blog readers for the lack of updating. I have had a bit of a busy time and crafting has taken a bit of a back burner.

The launch of the new catalogue has created quite alot of interest with people wanting to get their orders in for all that new lovely stash so I have been very busy running my SU business plus looking after an ill dog. Unfortunately our beloved Black Lab Jake became too ill and we had to make that terrible one way journey to the vet Monday night. You know the one you dread. My son has been quite upset because he has grown up with Jake always around, but at the age of 13, Jake had had a very good active life. The problem we have now is getting our other dog Ben used to being an only dog. Something he is struggling with at the moment. I have a shadow following me around wherever I go. I am sure he will soon get used to it.

The last couple of days have been spent cutting up all the designer papers and packing for the clubs. Details Here. There is one space left on each of the paper clubs, so hurry to catch that last space.

I am hoping to get back to blogging again next week, but here is one card I can share with you made with the new stamp set Pocket Silhouettes.

So sorry to hear about your dog. It's always hard when they go, but as you said his life was full and happy and I am sure he couldn't have wanted for any more.

So so sad to hear about your dog. It's a painful loss for everyone, but no doubt very hard on your young son.

Your card is beautiful. Love the colours and design...all the best with your clubs and business!

Oh I had that empty feeling in my stomach reading this Carole hugs to you all and especially your DS.

Now this card is fabulous, I might have to case your colour combo lilacs and purples are my least used colours as I find it hard to work with. M xxx

So sorry about your loss - losing a dog is so hard. I'm sure your other one will get used to it in time.

Such a lovely card - very rich colours and the scallops really enhance it, just love that punch!

I am so, so sorry to hear about Jake. As i read your post I felt, and still feel that awful fear and that panic in my chest-sheer terror at knowing something so awful and lifechanging is about to happen and you can't stop it.
It is wonderful your son had such a special friend and knew the amazing love we and animals can share. I am certain Jake loves your son as much as your son loves Jake. I think it sounds as though your son can be a special friend to Ben now who must also be struggling. It's so sad but shows how special Jake was to be loved by so many.I am thinking of you all.
